Replacement clear polycarbonate headlamp lens for the first-generation Mercedes-Benz GL-Class (X164). For use when your original lens is cracked, yellowed or crazed. Sold per side — choose Left or Right.

Not for ML-Class W164 or later GLS (X166).
Lens subcomponents have different suffixes — verify via VIN And the stamp on your existing lens.

Installation Notes (Pro Tips):

Remove lamp; gently heat the perimeter (low-heat oven or careful heat gun) to soften factory adhesive.

Separate lens; remove all old butyl/PU And test-fit before bonding.

Use butyl rope (reworkable) or automotive PU (permanent). Clamp/tape evenly while curing.

Ensure vent ports are clear; replace desiccant if fitted.

After refit, check headlight aim and perform a light-mist leak test to confirm seal integrity.

Beam pattern is set by the internal optics — the lens does not Change RHD/LHD cutoff.
Q&A
Q1: Will a new lens stop condensation?
A1: Condensation has several possible causes. Inspect the housing, vents and existing seal, and confirm that the lens is the faulty part before ordering.
Q2: Is adhesive included?
A2: No. Use butyl or PU Headlight sealant.
Q3: Can this lens be used on ML-Class (W164) or GLS (X166)?
A3: No. Those platforms use different lamp shapes. This lens is for GL-Class X164 only.
Q4: Left or Right — how do I choose?
A4: Order the side that matches your damaged lamp. On right-hand-drive vehicles, Left = passenger, Right = driver. Verify against your VIN And lens outline.
