This Privacy Policy explains how 001 Cellular CC trading as Toparts ("Toparts", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit toparts.co.za, place an order or contact us. It is written to comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

3. What personal information we collect

Order and contact details: your name, email address, phone number, and delivery and billing addresses.
Order history: the products you buy, order values, and delivery or collection details.
Communications: messages you send us by email, phone or WhatsApp.
Payment information: card and bank payments are processed by Payfast. We do not receive or store your full card details.
Technical and usage information: your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and cookie identifiers. This is collected when you use our website (see section 6).

4. Why we use your information

To process and deliver your order, including payment, delivery or collection, invoicing, returns and warranty claims. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
To communicate with you about your order and to answer your questions.
To meet legal obligations, such as keeping tax invoices and accounting records.
To keep our website secure, prevent fraud and improve our service. These are our legitimate interests.
To measure our advertising and show you relevant adverts, including on Google, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. We do this only where you have given consent through our cookie banner.

We do not send marketing emails, SMS or WhatsApp messages. We contact you only about your orders and enquiries.

5. Who we share your information with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, and only as far as they need it:

Lightspeed (Ecwid): our online store platform, which hosts the website and stores orders.
Payfast: payment processing.
Bob Go and its courier partners (including Bob Box lockers and Pargo pickup points): delivery of your order.
WhatsApp (Meta): when you choose to chat with us on WhatsApp.
Google (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager): website analytics and advertising measurement.
Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and TikTok: advertising measurement and remarketing through their website pixels.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, for example to a court, SARS or another authority.

6. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies such as tags and pixels.

Essential cookies make the store work, for example your shopping bag and checkout. They cannot be switched off.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) help us understand how visitors use the site.
Advertising cookies (Google Ads, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel) measure the results of our adverts. They may be used to show you our adverts on other websites and apps (remarketing).

You can accept or decline analytics and advertising cookies in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time through the "Cookie Settings" link at the bottom of every page. You can also manage adverts through your Google Ad Settings and your Facebook, Instagram and TikTok ad preferences, and you can block cookies in your browser settings.

7. Information stored outside South Africa

Some of our service providers, such as Lightspeed (Ecwid), Google, Meta and TikTok, store or process information on servers outside South Africa. We use providers that are bound by data protection laws, binding agreements or corporate rules that give a level of protection at least equal to POPIA, as required by section 72 of POPIA.

8. How long we keep your information

We keep order records and tax invoices for 5 years, as required by tax legislation. We keep other personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires. After that, it is deleted or de-identified.

9. How we protect your information

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. These include secure (HTTPS) connections, restricted access to customer data, and payments processed by a PCI-compliant payment provider. If we become aware of a security compromise affecting your information, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.

10. Your rights

Under POPIA you have the right to:

ask whether we hold personal information about you, and request a copy of it;
ask us to correct or delete inaccurate, outdated or unnecessary information;
object to the processing of your information on reasonable grounds;
withdraw your consent to cookies at any time;
lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.

11. Children

Our website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
